Enel invests €145 million in 84 MW Italian wind farm
Enel has expanded its renewable generation portfolio in Italy after completing the acquisition of Campo Eolico Ariano (CEA), owner of an operational wind farm in the Campania region, from WEB Ariano S.r.l., a company owned by WEB Windenergie AG.
The transaction, carried out through Enel Green Power Italia, is valued at approximately €145 million and includes a wind facility with an installed capacity of 84 MW, capable of generating around 0.2 TWh of electricity annually.
According to the company, the acquisition is expected to contribute around €16 million per year to the Enel Group's consolidated ordinary EBITDA.
Enel said the transaction is consistent with its strategy of accelerating renewable generation growth through the acquisition of brownfield assets—renewable facilities that are already in operation—in its core or Tier 1 markets.
