Ireland reaches 8 GW milestone in onshore renewable electricity
According to the Irish government, Ireland has reached 8GW of installed renewable electricity capacity, while renewables accounted for almost 50% of electricity generation in February. The milestone follows a decade in which wind capacity has doubled, while solar has emerged as the country’s third largest source of indigenous electricity generation.
