Ocean Winds and Martifer Renewables & Energy are pleased to announce their strategic partnership which aims to jointly bid in Portugal's inaugural tender for floating offshore wind farms, scheduled for this year.

Combining expertise and local knowledge

This partnership leverages Ocean Winds’ extensive global experience in developing and operating offshore wind farms, including Portugal's own WindFloat Atlantic, the first floating offshore wind farm. Meanwhile, Martifer Renewables & Energy brings profound knowledge of the Portuguese market, backed by the industrial strength of the Martifer Group. Together, they plan to develop cutting-edge floating offshore wind farms, contributing significantly to Portugal’s renewable energy targets of 2 GW by 2030, in line with the National Energy and Climate Plans (NECPs) of the European Union.
