Enbridge to build 600 MW Texas solar park powering Meta data center
Enbridge has announced an investment in Clear Fork, a 600 MW solar project in Texas, to support operations at Meta Platforms’ data center. The utility-scale plant, located near San Antonio, is currently under construction and is expected to begin operations in summer 2027.
Meta Platforms has signed a long-term power purchase agreement covering 100% of Clear Fork’s renewable output. With an estimated price tag of US 900 million, Enbridge anticipates the project will boost both cash flow and earnings per share starting in 2027.
Matthew Akman, Executive Vice President of Corporate Strategy and President of Power at Enbridge, stated, “Clear Fork demonstrates growing demand across North America for renewable energy from leading technology and data center companies.”
Urvi Parekh, Global Head of Energy at Meta, added, “We’re delighted to partner with Enbridge in bringing new renewable energy to Texas and supporting our operations with 100% clean energy.”
