UK gets SolarPulse, a new platform for tracking solar projects nationwide
Solar Energy UK has presented its new market intelligence platform, SolarPulse, designed to provide key information on over 4,000 utility-scale solar photovoltaic and battery energy storage projects across the country.
According to Solar Energy UK, the new platform will offer frequent updates and advanced search capabilities to help companies stay ahead of the competition. Additionally, users will be able to access interactive maps to visualize the projects in development and optimize their business strategies. The platform will also allow users to track projects in detail with powerful filtering tools, including information on the project name, capacity, development status, location, and ownership, as well as data on net biodiversity gain and land quality.
One of the standout features of SolarPulse is its ability to download data for deeper analysis. This functionality will allow users to analyze the projects in more detail and make better-informed decisions for their businesses.
SolarPulse will be presented exclusively at the Solar & Storage Live London event, which will take place at the Excel Centre on April 2nd and 3rd, at stand C41.
The creation of SolarPulse is in response to a survey conducted among Solar Energy UK members, where 70% requested better data and information on the solar market. With this platform, members will have access to valuable information that will allow them to make more strategic decisions and stay updated on the latest developments in the sector.
Who is SolarPulse for?
The platform is designed for a wide range of users within the solar industry. Developers, asset owners, and investors will be able to discover new opportunities, assess risks, and track market trends more efficiently. Utility companies and EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contractors will also benefit from the platform, optimizing project planning, supply chain decisions, and competitive analysis.
Business development and strategy teams within equipment suppliers and service companies will gain a competitive edge with real-time, data-driven insights. Additionally, governments and policymakers will have access to a comprehensive, data-backed view of the solar and battery sector in the UK, enabling them to make informed and well-founded decisions for the future of renewable energy.
Stephen Wilding, Commercial Director of Solar Energy UK, highlighted the importance of SolarPulse for the solar and battery storage industry.
“SolarPulse will be a vital resource for the industry. My team has worked hard to ensure that it is ready for subscribers, and I am excited to present it at Solar & Storage Live London,” he stated.
Furthermore, Wilding noted that there are plans to continue developing the platform, including adding information on grid connection points, political geography, and regional NESO boundaries.
At its launch, SolarPulse will focus on large-scale commercial ground-mounted solar projects of at least 5 MW. As the platform progresses, new features will be added, such as the inclusion of commercial rooftop projects, further expanding its coverage and usefulness for users in the solar sector.
