JDEnergy strengthens its presence in Spain with advanced energy storage solutions

JDEnergy participated in NET ZERO EUROPE 2026, held in Barcelona on November 2–3, where industry leaders and energy professionals gathered to discuss developments in Spain's and Europe's renewable energy and energy storage markets.

During the event, Javier Bouya, Country Manager at JDEnergy, delivered a keynote speech focusing on the advantages of string PCS architecture and JDEnergy's comprehensive energy storage solutions for commercial and industrial (C&I) and utility-scale applications.

A key advantage of JDEnergy's string PCS architecture lies in its independent control of individual battery clusters. This helps limit the impact of cluster-level faults on overall system operation, improve system availability and maintain more consistent performance across battery clusters. As a result, the architecture enables more effective use of available battery capacity and greater operational flexibility, contributing to reliable performance throughout the asset lifecycle.

JDEnergy has incorporated this architecture into its product portfolio. The eBlock-418A, designed for grid-side and large-scale C&I applications, combines string PCS technology with an AC-side architecture that supports flexible system expansion. Its grid-forming capability enables voltage and frequency regulation within its operating range. For utility-scale projects, JDEnergy's Galaxy-2 features next-generation high-capacity, long-cycle-life battery cells and is designed for flexible deployment, with safety and reliability as key considerations, including in demanding conditions and long-duration energy storage applications. With products delivered to more than 15 countries and regions, JDEnergy has gained experience serving diverse project requirements, grid conditions and operating environments.

Spain is an important market for JDEnergy's European business, with growing opportunities across both C&I and utility-scale energy storage. JDEnergy has already established relationships with multiple local partners and is leveraging these collaborations to deepen its understanding of local grid requirements, project economics and end-user needs.

Looking ahead, JDEnergy aims to further expand its local network, build new partnerships with Spanish developers, EPCs and other industry stakeholders, and work together to deliver more energy storage projects in support of Spain's energy transition.
