Energyear France 2023: over 400 experts to attend industry's top-rated renewables networking event
A new edition of Energyear France is coming to Paris this September 20 and 21. The top-rated networking event for the renewable energy sector, which will be held at the Centre de Conférences Coeur Défense, will bring together more than 400 industry experts in a perfect space to analyze the progress of the French market and its path towards the energy transition.
France's renewable energy sector is growing fast. Following his re-election in early 2023, French President Emmanuel Macron announced ambitious plans for the country: a 10-fold increase in planned solar capacity to 100 GW by 2050 and an increase in offshore wind to 40 GW over the next 30 years.
The share of renewable energy in electricity generation exceeded 28% in 2022. The objective is to increase this figure to over 45% by 2030. The country will invest more than €30 billion in renewables by 2028 to support more than 30 GW of new solar, onshore wind and hydro generation capacity, and the sector is experiencing a total turnover of €20 billion, an increase of more than 15% compared to 2022.
These and other questions about the country's energy future will be analyzed by experts belonging to the entire renewable energy value chain in different panels during the two days.
