RatedPower will present the latest milestones of its flagship product pvDesign at Intersolar Europe
RatedPower has become a major player in the global renewable energy sector. With more than 250 international customers, among them Iberdola, Cobra, Engie, Shell, BayWa, Sens Steag, Sungrow or EDF, the company has taken its flagship product, pvDesign, to another level.
This year, the company will once again be present at Intersolar Europe and with a much larger staff. With increasing investment and commitment, RatedPower will present the new features and milestones of pvDesign, its cloud-based software that optimizes the design and engineering of utility-scale solar photovoltaic plants.
RatedPower Fantastic Five:
Located at booth A3.450, more than 20 of the company's experts will have the opportunity to meet with the hundreds of attendees of the world's leading solar industry exhibitionand delve into the company's latest updates for the PV market:
-
Group areas in LV: This new feature allows users to indicate the available areas that can share the LV system. Previously, an inverter could only be contained in one area. This had the effect that if an area was too small, there could be unused structures due to DC/AC ratio restrictions.
-
No roads layout configuration: It is now possible to generate layouts which don't have any roads. Removing roads leads to a higher area fill factor, because it is no longer needed to leave gaps through which roads may pass. The power station location also changes. When the no roads option is selected, the power stations will be placed as close to the access point of the available area as possible. Finally, this option is only available if the PV plant has 1 power station only, or if each area is smaller than 5 ha. The new no roads option is available in the Layout tab in design process, in the layout configuration sub-section.
-
Power Flow Model: pvDesign now calculates the Power Flow Model of the PV plant based on the WECC guidelines. The model includes the overhead line, substation transformers, MV collectors for each generator (either PV or BESS), power station transformers, and generators.
-
3D layout web view: It is now possible to visualize the 3D layout in the web interface instead of downloading the Layout 3D DWG document. The 3D view shows the terrain, the structures (fixed or tracker) and their piles, the power stations, the roads, and the area boundaries.
-
pvDesgin integration with PRISM: since mid-May, PRISM, one of the products of Enverus, a company of which they are part since August 2022, and pvDesign clients can transfer a selected parcel on PRISM into pvDesign, which results in a smooth experience with seamlessly connected platforms. Users can identify US-based surface parcels with ample buildable acreage in areas with desirable infrastructure for interconnection, available transmission capacity or high-power prices. After transferring all this information into pvDesign, they can keep on with the feasibility study in the software.

The cherry on the top: RatedPower's Happy Hour
To close its participation with a flourish, RatedPower has organised a Happy Hour at its booth on Thursday 15th from 3-5pm. The company will have drinks, snacks and an engagement game with prizes such as tickets for the next edition of their renewable energy conference, Pulse 2024, and different items of their merchandising collection.
