Risen Energy reinforces energy storage strategy and establishes Madrid as its strategic hub

At Intersolar Europe 2025, Risen Energy made clear its intention to consolidate its position as a global provider of integrated energy solutions, placing particular emphasis on its expanding energy storage capabilities for utility-scale and commercial & industrial (C&I) applications.

Speaking exclusively to Review Energy during the event, Juan Gattoni, Global Strategic Account Director at Risen Energy, highlighted the company’s evolving role in the market: “We are widely recognized as a PV panel supplier, but this year at Intersolar, we wanted to emphasize that we are now an energy solutions provider.” With over 3.5 GWh of installed storage capacity worldwide, the company has built a solid foundation to support this transition.

Madrid: Risen Energy’s strategic hub outside China

Risen’s recent moves reflect a strategy focused on strengthening its presence in Europe and Latin America. A central element of this approach is the company’s office in Madrid, which has now been designated as Risen Energy’s most important hub outside of China. “Our strategy is very clear: to turn Madrid into our central base for energy storage systems. From there, we’ll provide agile and specialized support to clients across Europe and Latin America,” Gattoni explained.

The Madrid hub already hosts both commercial and technical departments and is set to expand further, with plans for a showroom and training facilities. “We want to offer in-house workshops and technical sessions that will bring our clients closer to our technology and capabilities,” he added.

Although regulatory development varies across the region, markets like Spain are already showing strong demand for hybrid energy solutions. “We’re seeing a high number of inquiries and upcoming projects. Many clients with PV installations are now seeking hybridization, and that’s where our value proposition becomes even stronger,” said Gattoni.

HJT technology: A key pillar in Risen Energy’s offer

In addition to focusing on storage, Risen continues to lead photovoltaic innovation with its heterojunction technology (HJT), which has become a core pillar of Risen’s value proposition. “Our flagship product has gained the trust of an increasing number of customers due to its high efficiency, lower degradation, and more sustainable energy production—key factors in the transition to a cleaner and more efficient energy model,” explained Gattoni.

Risen Energy has also reached a significant milestone with its HJT-Perovskite tandem solar cells, achieving an impressive efficiency of 30.99%. This breakthrough enhances both product efficiency and sustainability, while also reducing the Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE) and increasing overall energy production.

With Intersolar Europe 2025 as a platform to highlight its evolution, Risen Energy emerges as a strategic partner in the global energy transition, combining cutting-edge storage solutions, advanced PV technology, and a solid operational base in Madrid to drive growth across key markets.
