Astronergy looks for further growth in Brazil with its newly upgraded TOPCon products

The Covid-19 crisis left no sector untouched. Nearly three years of pandemic were decisive in companies with a global presence such as Astronergy, one of the leaders in the photovoltaic sector, which was able to face this crisis.

This has been demonstrated by the company since the end of the pandemic and up to its participation in Intersolar South America, the largest solar industry meeting held in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

In a dialogue with Review Energy, Lin He, Head of International Sales at Astronergy, acknowledged that the mega-event has been an opportunity to re-launch its market in a stronger way in Brazil and share the experience with its team from China, Colombia, Argentina or Chile, now locally in the South American country.

He emphasized that thanks to starting the new capacity at TOPCon technology, the company has been able to offer the Brazilian market a high-level product. In this regard, the expert also highlighted that this year Astronergy has started production of ASTRO N7, a newly upgraded TOPCon n-type PV module that adopts cutting-edge technology solutions such as n-type TOPCon 3.0 tech PV cells, rectangular silicon wafers, SMBB manufacturing tech, double-layer coated glass, and light redirecting film. The module power of ASTRO N7 could reach over 615W.

What's more, the efficiency of ASTRO N7 could reach over 22.7%+. It can significantly improve the total power generation of solar power generation systems throughout entire life cycle, effectively reduce electricity consumption costs, and achieve user-side cost reduction and efficiency increase.

He noted that some of the company's utility-scale projects in Latin America already use this type of technology and that they are working intensively with some local distributors to bring it to the residential sector as well.

“For a market as special as Brazil, which has enormous potential, we are focused on bringing all the latest technology we have at a competitive price, precisely to be competitive in the market in the long term,” He said.

Considering Brazil as a market as important as that of Europe or the United States, the expert also pointed out that the company is working hard to offer a much more local service that responds not only to the commercialization of modules but also helps the entire supply chain to ensure an efficient work both in design and construction. “We want to be 100% sure that our panels are properly installed,” the expert explained.

In order to further increase its leadership in the photovoltaic industry, Astronergy will enable its products higher power and higher efficiency with its continuously upgrading TOPCon tech. Under its sustainable strategy announced in August this year, Astronergy is to help more customers enjoying green power with lower-carbon products and so for a greener world.
