Telis Energy initiates early stages for 600MW solar-battery farm in the UK

Telis Energy has announced that it will develop a solar project of 500 to 600 MW alongside a battery energy storage system (BESS) in Lincolnshire, UK.

Initial land studies and evaluations are already underway, and the initial non-statutory public consultation for the Leoda project is scheduled to begin on January 23.

Leoda Solar Farm Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of Telis Energy UK and will be the applicant for the Development Consent Order (DCO) application for this project.

Community impact

The project will support the climate goals of the North Kesteven District Council, and we are committed to funding projects and initiatives in the area through a community benefit fund.

According to the company, using fields for solar energy helps reclaim poor agricultural land. The land’s reuse for a period allows it to recover from intensive farming, improving long-term agricultural prospects.
