DAS Solar has officially begun construction of its first overseas 3GW photovoltaic module manufacturing facility in Mandeure, France, marking a significant milestone in the company’s global expansion. This project underscores DAS Solar's commitment to Europe’s energy transition and sustainable development.

Strategic location and localized growth

Located in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region, the Mandeure site will leverage France’s strong industrial infrastructure and supportive policy environment. The factory will produce solar modules for the European market, with plans for future production of ingots and wafers as well as key materials like cables and junction boxes.

The facility will feature automated production lines and advanced digital management systems to ensure high efficiency and top-quality products. DAS Solar is a leader in N-type TOPCon technology, with cell efficiencies exceeding 27%.

Partnership with nedey

DAS Solar has also signed a strategic agreement with French automotive group Nedey to integrate high-efficiency solar systems into its operations, supporting Nedey’s energy independence and promoting a shared vision of sustainability.

DAS Solar Chairman and CEO Mr. Liu Yong said: "as part of its broader European strategy, DAS Solar has already delivered landmark projects across France, the Netherlands, and Greece—including the largest floating solar power station in Europe. The new French facility will further enhance its local service capabilities, support regional employment and training, and foster collaborative innovation in the energy sector."

The factory will focus on low-carbon, circular production, including on-site solar energy generation, wastewater treatment, and waste recycling. This project will create local jobs and support the broader goal of ecological transition.

Strengthening China–Europe cooperation

The new facility also symbolizes the growing cooperation between China and France, marking the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries. With this move, DAS Solar continues to contribute to global energy transition efforts through smarter and more localized solar solutions.
